So many times the difference between success and continued struggle for these children and families is a small financial burden that cannot be met anywhere else. I’m talking simple things—like $30 for a bus pass for a teen to get to a first job, payment to a family’s electric bill to keep the lights on during a time of need, summer camp fees, cost of a moving truck rental to pick up furniture donated from an agency, clothes for a job interview, etc. All of these things are minimal—but the impact is enormous.
